About RACKWiki

Mission statement

RACKWiki (the Risk-Aware Consensual Kink Wiki) is an educational resource dedicated to reducing harm in BDSM and kink communities by providing freely accessible, evidence-based information on risk-aware practices, informed consent, and physical and psychological well-being.

Short description

For use in introductory posts, emails, social media bios, and community chats:

RACKWiki is an organization dedicated to making kink safer through free, evidence-based education.

Extended description

For use in grant applications, partnership proposals, and formal introductions:

RACKWiki is an organization that serves as a freely accessible online reference and educational resource for BDSM and kink communities. Our content is grounded in evidence-based harm reduction principles and draws on medical, psychological, and community-sourced knowledge to promote risk-aware practices, informed consent, and physical and psychological safety. RACKWiki is community-supported, editorially independent, and committed to making reliable safety information available to everyone.

Key messages

When representing RACKWiki externally, communications should reflect these core themes:

Harm reduction, not moral judgment
RACKWiki exists to reduce harm, not to judge, endorse, or discourage any particular practice. We meet people where they are and provide the information they need to make informed decisions.
Evidence-based and medically informed
Our content draws on peer-reviewed research, clinical knowledge, and established harm reduction frameworks wherever possible. Where formal evidence is limited, we are transparent about the basis for our recommendations.
Freely accessible
All RACKWiki content is free to access. We believe safety information should never be behind a paywall.
Community-driven, editorially independent
RACKWiki is built by and for the kink and BDSM community. Our editorial standards are maintained independently of any sponsor, partner, or outside organization.
Inclusive and respectful
RACKWiki serves all members of kink and BDSM communities regardless of identity, experience level, or the specific practices they engage in.
